After graduating from Salmon P. Chase School of Law, Steve began his career clerking for a judge before working as an Assistant Hamilton County Prosecuting Attorney in Cincinnati, Ohio. Ten years later Steve began building his private practice, focusing on criminal and DUI defense, and recently added family law.
Steve’s endless accolades and achievements in the legal community match the enthusiasm he exudes daily in both his professional and personal life.He’s been recognized by both his peers and his clients as being one of the best attorneys in Ohio. Alongside his study and practice of law, he has competed in the Ironman Triathlon World Championship four times and was the #1 Lawyer in the world 3 of the four times. Additionally, Steve has swam marathons to fundraise for the American Diabetes Association and Phi Alpha Delta raising almost $1,700 for swimming 26.1 miles and again raised $3,000 for swimming 27.3 miles.
As Steve’s law practice’s success continued to increase, so did his passion for business development. Steve has authored/co-authored five books including Ohio OVI Defense: The Law and Practice; Kentucky DUI Defense: The Law and Practice*; The Woman’s Guide to Separation, Dissolution, and Divorce in Ohio; The Man’s Guide to Separation, Dissolution, and Divorce in Ohio; and Practice Law Like An Ironman: Unbeatable Checklists For Any Lawyer Building a Solo or Small Practice. Since 2004, Steve has been teaching certified legal education seminars in the Ohio and Kentucky area. His proficient and innovative thinking has led him to build his brand and gain a reputation for professionalism, optimism, persistence, discipline and determination.
From personal experience, Steve understands what it takes to build a law practice from the ground up. Specifically, and most importantly, Steve understands what business skills lawyers need that they likely haven’t learned in school or practice. He wants to provide you with what he wishes he had 17 years ago before he opened his own practice. Learning what to do and what not to do from attorneys who have already traversed the road to success is an immeasurable opportunity.
